Gifts for Kids: Baby Favorites
Over the past couple years I’ve compiled a list of favorite kids’ gifts, grouped by age, that our girls have used and loved. I love having this list at the ready so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time we have a gift to give.
Here are some of our favorites for baby, in case you’re interested! I'll follow up with posts on one- and two-year-old favorites but naptime is running out so it will have to wait for another day! (My list has only made it through age two, since my girls are still young, so I’d love to hear any favorites for older kids, too!)
Haba rattles—the best baby rattles! These wooden rattles and clutching toys have simple, brightly colored designs that my babies have loved and, just as importantly, I don't mind seeing strewn about my house! I love that they're made in Germany with water-based non-toxic paint. Some of the ones we have are here, here, and here.
Hanna Andersson and Kissy Kissy pjs—both of these brands are the softest cotton, have sweet designs, and last through multiple children. Favorites are here and here for girls and I like these two for little boys!
Garnet Hill slippers—the cutest designs, cozy wool, they stay on!! and run big so there’s room to grow! We have the bunny and the pink bear :) and Eloise also has the toddler slippers which they don't seem to have on their site right now.
Eloise Wilkin Stories—I love this book so, so much and it’s one of my go-to gifts for newborn girls. Beautiful illustrations, sweet stories, and we've been reading it for almost three years now. A classic!
No Slippy Hair Clippy—the only baby bow we've tried that stays in! They're backed in velvet and stay in even the finest baby hair. For the smallest babies, I like the Haley size, and I currently have Amelia in the Ava size now that she's a bit bigger.
Do you have any go-to baby gifts? I'd love to hear!
